Our Humble Beginnings
The Coors company story began even earlier than when our doors first opened in 1993. Bart and Michelle were high school sweethearts, both Benton County kids. Following high school, they both pursued teaching degrees at Purdue. Bart started the business in 1993 in response to the building boom the community was experiencing at the time. Michelle went on to teach Interior Design and Fashion Design to high school students for nearly 25 years. In that time, the two raised 3 beautiful daughters, Sam, Gabby, and Alex, while continuing to grow the business to fit the community’s needs.
In 2018, Michelle took a leap of faith, leaving the classroom setting and joining Bart in the business full-time. Her teaching expertise and passion for design was a natural fit for the business, as they began offering full design services as part of any project. Using their combined skills, the Coors Family of Companies began transforming one step at a time.
We have evolved from Coors Exteriors, where we did mainly roofing and siding, to Coors Remodeling, which is a full-service residential remodeling company with divisions of Interiors, Exteriors, and Additions.
It was a natural response to the changing demands of our clients. Now we deliver a full-scale, custom, and turnkey remodeling experience with excellent client care and experienced craftsmen in Kitchens, Bathrooms, Additions, Decks, Interiors, Exteriors, and so much more. In 2021 the Coors Family of Companies added a new member, ‘Heavenly Decks’. That segment now takes care of all your deck and railing needs to make your outdoor living space you might only dream of.
The Coors are committed to further education with our growing team, this helps us stay on top of our game and deliver the best results in the industry. As a company, we are constantly changing with business demands to ensure that we deliver the best results on every project we are a part of.
Through the years, Bart and Michelle have navigated many busy seasons of life, but some things have never changed, such as their love of family, their passion for educating those around them, our clients, and the community that we live in.
A Match Made in Heaven
Heavenly Decks was founded in 2021 as a branch of the Coors family of companies. One day, Bart Coors had a vision of creating “Heavenly” backyard paradises for Coors clients. As he described his vision, both to the team and clients, he realized the potential for a separate brand that could service clients at a whole new level.
Everyone deserves a beautiful, peaceful place to relax at the end of the day. We provide quality decks for homes at every price level. The Heavenly Decks mission is to provide a personal heaven on earth for back yards in the Greater Lafayette area and beyond.

The Coors Philosophy
Most construction services refer to their clientele as customers—we refer to these people as clients. By definition, a customer is a person who purchases goods or services from another. A client is defined as a person that uses the professional advice or services of an educated and certified professional. Our clients are not just buying a product or service—they are investing in an experience, carefully guided by professional construction advice and top-notch service.
Bart serves as the Chief Operating Officer and business manager while still handling some sales duties. Design Services utilize Michelle’s background as a Family and Consumer Sciences Educator at Wm. Henry Harrison High School in Design, educating students in Interior as well as Fashion Design. Within Coors, she conducts every aspect of design services from color consultations and product specification to residential architecture exterior design and full design of interior spaces. As a Certified Aging in Place Specialist, she enjoys working with clients who desire to transition their homes to enable them to remain in them for many years to come.
During each and every phase of your Coors project, you will be able to reach office staff, your project manager, your designer, and your salesperson—via text messaging, email communication, and phone calls.
These days, we have a large number of repeat clients. Many of our clients return to us for additional projects, some even calling to request specific project managers. Our employees have created a comfort level during previous project experiences that has made clients want to come back to our company for more.

Our Project consultants have worked on many types of projects as well and can help create what you envision for your home or property. If it’s a Coors project, it is automatically custom.
