Our Remodeling Process
Lafayette IN Remodelers
Each of the steps described here is part of our Design phase. The timeline of this phase can vary and, of course, influence a job's completion date. Factors affecting the start and end date of your project include size, complexity, permits, and our client’s ability to make decisions regarding the approval of a design plan, making material selections, etc. Therefore, the typical design phase (before the work begins) for a kitchen or bathroom remodel can take 3-8 weeks.
We offer an initial consultation. Our Project Consultant will meet with you at your home and get an idea of your vision, problems you are trying to solve, goals and needs, and any measurements & photos that we may need.
The first steps in arriving at the final cost will be the design phase. During this time the design style that you like will be incorporated as well as material cost, custom woodwork, and a detailed scope of the process as a whole. It is very important that the design aligns with your budget and we understand that. If your remodel or room addition requires additional square footage or major structural changes, an architect or engineer will need to be woven into the job. If it is a bath or kitchen remodel with no structural changes, then your project will start with our design team. Coors Remodeling can bring your vision to life with more than 28 years of expertise and design experience. We will help create a space that you and your loved ones will enjoy for years to come.
Our project proposal will zero in on the vision of our client. We build with attention to detail and have a keen focus on each aspect of the job. Once we have completed the proposal, we will meet with you at your home, discuss the details and design, and review the scope of the project and labor proposal. The price of the job and associated costs will be discussed in detail. We are known for standing by our project proposals and communicating with you immediately if you make a decision that changes the cost or value.
When doing a home remodel, one of the most common obstacles that catch the owners off guard are the various approvals and the time needed before work can begin. We often need a city or county building permit, electrical permit, plumbing permit, surveyor land study, and an inspection prior to and after the project. Our great office staff will work behind the scenes to ensure the process is moving along smoothly.
Once the materials arrive and the necessary approvals are obtained, we can begin work. The Project Manager will facilitate communication between you, the office, the crew, and any professional tradesmen involved. If you need to work or be at your home during construction, we’ll do everything possible to minimize the disruption to your life.
When the remodel is completed, the Project Manager will walk through with you to ensure everything is to your satisfaction. The project 10-year workmanship warranty begins after we complete this process.
